Alinah Azadeh and sketchbook pages

Alinah Azadeh - came across an article in Cloth and Culture, Being Woven: The Transformation of the Self within Woven Spaces,  by this artist some time again Cloth and Culture. (Volume 8, Issue1, pp.36-49. 2010)  I find her way through and methodology interesting.  She uses the words metaphor, connections, poetics narrative, journey etc. a lot so I feel some sort of empathy is there.  The article (by her) in Cloth and Culture concentrates on "The Loom: from Text to Textile, 2005 and "Crafting Space, 2008. Both interesting. Looking her up on the internet I've found The Gifts, 2010, Chasing Mirrors 2011 and various other things. Lots of wrapping, suspending (echoes of Cornelia Parker here) - must research more.  Am very annoyed with myself for missing these things,  especially the National Portrait Gallery earlier this year!.

Wrapped some bones once - find them and perhaps wrap some wishbones with labels and words - like the parchment labels on the relics from the Hildesheim portable altar at the BM Treasure of Heaven.

Pages from my sketchbook:

some images of the newly come across artists Antoni Tapies - the wrapping and the mark making appeal
